Description
White or light brown, sometimes with brown band under the suture and on the body whorl.
Translucent lamellar axial ribs and spiral cords formed reticulations.

Japan: Off Kii Peninsula in 300m,
Kumanonada in 400-500m,
Sagami Bay in 300m, Mouth of Tokyo Bay in 250-300m.

Remarks
Nipponotrophon shingoi is found in the same region as N. echinus,
but N. shingoi is rarer.
