Separatista helicoides (Gmelin, 1791)
Description
Pale brown, ornamented with brown periostracum. Spires small but abruptly
enlarged, with 3 spiral ribs. Body whorl separated from the penultimate
whorl. Umbilicus wide.
Locality
Japan: Off Boso Peninsula, Mouth of Tokyo Bay in 1m, Sagami Bay,
Yamaguchi, Amamioshima, Okinawa.
Indian Ocean.

Remarks
Separatista helicoides is sometimes found on the beach, because
it lives in shallow water. It is small shell, but easy to be found,
because it's shape is strange.
