Description
Shell thin, body whorl slightly inflated. Resembles
Daphnella mitrellaformis, but constriction of bottom weak.
Locality
Off New Caledonia.
Japan: Kii Peninsula Wakayama, Mouth of Tokyo Bay in 250-300m.

Remarks
Daphnella itonis had been rarely caught from Wakayama and Koch. However,
this shell was found also in Tokyo Bay recently. D. itonis was described as a new
species in 2001 though this shell was known for about 50 years ago.
