Philine kurodai

Description
Translucent white with large body whorl. Ornamented with fine growth lines. Resembles Philine argentata, but spiral grooves few and some one only on upper part of shell.

Locality
Japan: Choshi, Mouth of Tokyo Bay, Wakayama, Noto Peninsula, Shikoku, Kyushu.
South China Sea.

Remarks
Scientific name and Japanese name are connected to Dr. Tokubei Kuroda. Philine kurodai had been known as large Philine from Japan. On the other hand, Philine hayashii from Enshunada is larger.
