Remarks
This shell was described based on Sir Edward Belcher's collection. He was a British
naval officer and is also known by the name Forreria belcheri (Hinds, 1843).
Although this shell has been known for a long time, it has rarely been included in
Japanese field guides or catalogs until recently. It appears to be a rare species.
