Nipponotrophon echinus (Dall, 1918)

Description
White, pale brown, orange with translucent. Resembles N. gorgon, but
body whorl slightly inflated and having one spiral code between shoulder and
suture.
Locality
Off Taiwan.
Japan: Off Tosa Bay,
Sagami Bay in 250-300m, Mouth of Tokyo Bay in 250-300m,
Off Choshi.

Remarks
Orange color of this shell will fade slowly. My shell was changed in pale brown
about ten years later.
